Salim Sharif

Mr. Sharif obtained Bachelor of Science (honours) in Computing and MBA from Birmingham City University (UK), PRINCE2 (Projects In Controlled Environments) certification, and holds professional membership with Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM-UK) and Chartered Management Institute (MCMI-UK). 

He has over 20 years’ experience and a successful track record of managing multi-million-pound UK and European programmes in business support and management consultancy on start-ups, social enterprises, investment readiness, impact management, research and evaluation, supply chain, capacity and network building and sharing best practices through dissemination and mainstreaming. 

Mr. Sharif has worked for Business Link for London, HSBC bank (UK), and as a lecturer at Birmingham City University (UK) teaching research and project management. He has extensive experience working within the UK Social Enterprise sector and sharing UK best practices with various government, semi-government, private, educational and research institutions from Canada, Jamaica, Brazil, Turkey, China, Japan, South- Korea and many other countries of the European Union and the Middle-East. 

In January 2023, Mr. Sharif opened the ‘Buriganga Riverview Restaurant’ - which is the largest rooftop river view restaurant in Dhaka, Bangladesh. With 24 thousand square feet space and more then 500 seating capacity, this restaurant offers international and Bangladeshi cuisines with pleasant ambience and magnificent views of the 400 years old Dhaka river port and the Buriganga River.

 Mr. Sharif envisages a future where economic growth is driven by effective business support and sustainable practices, and he is strongly dedicated to making this vision a reality.
